Mariah Love Brown

Hello! My name is Mariah Love Brown, and I am a recent graduate from Bethune-Cookman University, where I earned my degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis in multimedia journalism. I am full-time creator: journalist, blogger, and creative writer. I also enjoy social media management, news and entertainment reporting, graphic design as well as video editing. 

 

All my life, I have been called dramatic, but I’d like to think of it as having a large imagination. In simple words, I’m a storyteller, and love to express myself through words, journal entries, stories — pretty much any way that I can get my thoughts put in stone — and looking back, it’s all I’ve known since I could read. 

 

I’ve been reading since the age of three, and writing my own fiction stories since I was around the age of seven. It’s the only form of expression that has made me feel safe and free at the same time, like a chrysalis emerging into a butterfly every single time I put pen to paper. 

 

There’s power in words, and a craft in using them in such an intricate way that pulls others in. Writing a book on Wattpad really encouraged me to take my craft more seriously, and I am currently in the works of writing a new novel. 

 

When I’m not writing, I’m snuggled up somewhere reading on my Kindle, and I have to say it — I’m a sucker for romance novels (predictable right?). 

 

If I’m not reading or writing fiction stories, then I’m writing features, blogging, doing social media management and public relations, or creating content for my own personal sites like YouTube.
